This is the easiest breakfast in my house, especially when I am running late . Its tasty and does not need any accompaniments. It can also be made as evening snack. Requires very less ingredients and above all negligible time too. If there is left over bread that works better than fresh bread for this dish.
Serves 2
INGREDIENTS:
How to Prepare:
Step1: Bread
Cut the bread slices to small cubes . It should have a definite shape, all the pieces should be uniform and not too big. Keep it aside
Step2: Making
Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Add chopped ginger and green chillies , saute till the ginger becomes cooked , but do not burn it. Add the chopped onion to it and then saute till it becomes brown. Add the bread cubes to it and sprinkle some salt over it . Mix it well continously as otherwise the bread will stick to the bottom of the vessel. When the bread is slightly browned add the chopped coriander leaves
Step3: Serving
Serve hot . No accompaniment is needed, but for kids you can give tomato sauce.

ReplyDeleteHi rakhee here....we use to try this but with different style...we cut the bread and just fry or make it hot in 3 spoon ghee..and keep aside. Then the same crack mustard and add chopped onions(4onions). when it become brown we add little chilly powder ,pepper powder and tomato sauce and salt as taste.then we put bread pieces and mix it well.
ReplyDeleteyeah Rakhee, that does sound yummy. But my cooking is in low calorie style , so I keep modifying the recipes so that it uses less of ghee, butter , oil and above all deep frying.
